This is a very fine component. I hope VO continues to offer it despite the flight to one-bys that seems to be dominating the market. Even compacts are outdated these days. But for randonneuring, a triple can't be beaten. After 120 miles, that next upgrade deserves the ultra low gear you've been saving for that moment, and keeping the spin steady for many miles of slightly changing topography means small steps between gears. Try finding that with the latest and greatest.
I love these bars!! Chicago fixed gear cyclists here and i upgraded to these from traditional wide bars when i was looking for alternative bullhorn bars and found these gems. I find the uber wide hand position perfect for a red light trackstand or a quick u turn ( any move that requires an effort in balance precision really). I also love the bullhorns! Although I wish they were a little on the narrower side I find myself on the bullhorns the majority of my time riding. besides this there are a couple other hand position options if these ever get old. I'm never gonna need another pair of handlebars!
Repurposing my venerable Motobecane Grand Record as a commuter recently. Mounted one of these w/suitable non-threaded stem & Postino 'bar for a more comfortable, upright posture for casual rides. My back says "Yes, thanks!!) with every ride!
Mounted a Postino on my venerable Motobecane Grand Record (52+ years old!) a couple weeks back. 'Repurposing' to a commuter bike, I'm old enough to appreciate a more upright posture for casual riding. This 'bar, with a quill adapter & proper stem, really suits my needs!
I never thought I would be excited about a kickstand. But now I can pack my bike bags and attach my chariot without worrying about my bike tipping over. And when I kick it up, it just ticks away to the non drive side. So elegant! Would recommend.
This is my second Microfiber touring saddle from Velo Orange. I really like the streamline design and comfort it provides. Also, the color goes very nice with my latest project.
The Growtac brakes are simply amazing! I suspect a small part of their superiority may lie in the pads. They are quiet and efficient. I haven't needed to change the pads yet but why would I consider experimenting with something that's already as close to perfect as it gets?
I bought the confetti tape. It’s like having a party in my hands while I ride, if you know what I mean? Gurl, just stop it with that mid black tape, you need to LIVVVVVVVVE!
They are a great fit for me and very comfortable.
Converting a drop bar early ’70’s Motobecane Grand Record over from road to commuter, I wanted a more upright position. VO’s quill stem adapter and one of these stems were the right choice for mounting their Postino handlebar to make the changes! Results are awesome!
Install on my Bike Friday 20 inch New World Tourist, better fit than SKS or Bike Planet ones. Also have the mud flap.
I purchased this to install a set of Velo nouveau radonneur handlebars on an older cycle that I have been trying to update and bring back to life. This stem and the radonneur handlebars turned out to be an excellent choice and the quality of these parts as well as the design is excellent. I am quite pleased with this stem, and how it looks on this cycle. Installed as part of the restoration of an older Nishiki Prestige just because I loved the frame.
