The Mini-Rando will be your favorite go-to for all day, fun, mixed-terrain rides. It's the perfect size for easy access to your compact camera, cell phone, keys, wallet, snacks, and light jacket.

The main body of the bag uses a plastic liner for rigidity, but the zippered top is soft for easier cramming, overstuffing, and retrieval of awkwardly shaped items.

The "trouser" pockets on either side of the bag make for quick access and storage of energy gels as well as their respective carcasses.

Attaching the Mini-Rando to your drop handlebars is a cinch. Use the pair of webbing and cam-locks to secure the bag to your tops, and use the length of shockcord and cord-locks to the drops. You can rotate the position of the cord-locks so that it feels good in the drops. Our optional shoulder strap works with this bag.

While the Mini-Rando is designed to work best on drop bars, we have discovered several other applications that also rock:

  • Loop and secure the bag to a Wald 137 Basket for added capacity for things you may need to access frequently.
  • The upper support bar on the Klunkers makes for the perfect lashing position.
  • For three-piece bars like the Crazy Bars, you can use the upper loops to secure the bag to the forward extensions.
  • Size: 10 x 5.5 x 5.5 inches (25.4 x 14 x 14cm)
  • Capable of storing 6-7 seltzers
  • 4.2L capacity
  • Weight: 300g

Mini-Rando Bag

So far it’s been an awesome bag and have been able to hold everything I need for an 8 hour ride. Was in heavy rain and contents stayed dry.

First handlebar bag and I love it

Bought this as my first bar bag. I used it a few times to test out hook ups. I used it yesterday for the 100 mile D2R2 in Western mass. Great volume for tubes, pump, snacks and extra things I probably did not need to pack. And the pouches on the sides… due to the suggestion in the description, I stuffed my gel and bar wrappers in them which was so handy.

The lateral bungees do need to be really tight, or they will slip off my cyclocross/road drop bars on bumpy trails. But I found a way to attach my map/cue sheet pouch that kept the lateral straps in place with no adjustment needed during the bumpy 8 hour ride. That set up also helped prevent the heavy bag from bouncing into my front brake cable… but I’m running old school canti breaks and not new fangled disco breaks.

I look forward to using this bag on long fall rides into which I can stuff extra layers.

Mini rando bag

Great bag, impressed with quality of construction, good design, including the thick plastic liner that stiffens the bag.
I would be nice if you offered a head tube bar that supports the bag from sagging back and ditch the bungies. Other than that I really like the bag and am happy with my purchase. Thanks

The bag for bag-haters?

In over 1/2-century of cycling, this my 1st handlebar bag; I am a minimalist and like as little as possible on my bikes. But for off-season rides I concluded I needed warmer clothing sometimes and this allowed me to pack a jacket just in case. A year into ownership, I finally tried it yesterday. Went on easy, the side bungees stayed put over the entire ride (surprised me a bit) and did not add enough weight to adversely affect handling. It does interfere a little bit with riding on the bar tops. Alas, my jacket took up 100% of the bag's capacity; I think the problem is... I need a more compact jacket.

Awesome little rando bag

This is a great bag that sits nicely on my Rawland rando rack while still attached to the handlebars. I’ve been looking for something this size for a while and it fits my needs perfectly. My only minor complaint is that the single loop string down the middle makes stable rack attachment tricky.
