This is a beefy rack strong enough for anything I can conceive of. The separate pannier rails mean I can mount my commuter or grocery panniers, and still have something sitting on the rack top. I was able to mount it quickly to my old Schwinn Suburban with some P-clamps on the seat stays. It's really designed for bikes with rear rack braze-ons, which many MTB and touring frames will have. It's beautifully finished, fits the bike really well, and so far has done everything I could ask of it.

Velo-Orange doesn’t disappoint. This rack is both beautiful and functional. I ride a belt drive with horizontal dropouts, so I’m hesitant to fender-mount it, but even without that option it still sits lower than any rack I’ve used. The load being lower makes the bike feel more stable when loaded. I was honestly shocked by the huge different it made compared to my old rack that sat much higher. I highly recommend this rack.

Lucky to find one of these on local CL. On my daily “all-rounder” lowering the panniers really enhanced the feel of the integration of the bags to the bike (vs trad racks). Less obviously there, more stable. Form and function! What’s not to like?

Wasn’t at first looking to spend quite so much on a rack but it was the only one I could find that matches and honors my beautiful new bike! So I was persuaded. And it does look sharp installed. Orange Velo customer service was also prompt and helpful with their responses to my questions. That goes a long way with me too :)

Very secure fit and holds Ortleib Classic bags well. And of course has a great vintage look.
