I find it challenging to find good alternatives to seat post mounted tail lights. This is important because the seatpost is covered if you run a seat bag of any size. Sure many seat bags have a loop for a light, but unless the bag is packed completely full the light usually droops downward limiting its effectiveness. The mass market, dominated by racer wanna be bikes without fenders (or racks) has pretty much abandoned rear fender and rack mounted tail lights. So I was delighted to find this fender mount light bracket. It was easy to mount and allows me to run a battery powered rear light that is always present in case my ride runs into the evening. The design is versatile and will also be useful if I get a dynamo light system. I needed to adjust the angle to insure the light is vertical and not angle up or down and thanks to the robust materials this was possible with my shop vice and a crescent wrench.

Bottom line is if you run fenders this is a great way to mount your tail light.
