These Dia-Compe 610s are super stiff CNC machined centerpulls with 47 to 61mm reach and loads of room for fenders. The version that only VO offers has been upgraded with VO alloy cartridge brake shoes and VO pads - this makes adjusting toe-in easy.

  • Works with recessed or nutted brake bolts
  • Two bolt spacers are included to allow them to fit most older frames as well as modern ones
  • Includes cable hanger and straddle cable
  • Compatible with any Shimano-type pads

Price is per wheel, one brake.

Note: Use only Dia Compe straddle cables. Use of longer straddle cables can cause problems.

Great to be able to upgrade my 1980s centrepull brakes on my vintage bike - all shiny and new!

Strong, Pretty, Good for racks

I got this brake to replace a vintage Weinmann I had been using on a fixed-gear conversion. I assumed the braking power would be about even, but the Dia-Compe would run smoother and be shinier. Yet not only is it smoother and shinier, it is *much* stronger. Since I've only got the one brake on this bike, the extra power is greatly appreciated. Additionally, the way it bolts to the fork is miles easier for setting up a rack that attaches at the crown than the vintage brake. The 610 far exceeded my expectations!

Great Brakes

I replaced a pair of Tektro dual pivot brakes with these. Now I can easily use 35mm tires on my Raliegh Gran Prix. Installed with Sensah SRX Pro levers and Jagwire’s super stiff cables and housing, the bakes are very firm. I go with Yokosuma salman pads after reading from reviews. Brakes look really nice and feel good. Bonus is I can add a front rack to them even though my fork only has fender eyelets.

The precious...

Honestly bought a set of these to hoard for an eventual project (an old mixte with sentimental value/family history). In fairness I have yet to use them as I need the 'rest' of the bike still. But ogled them a bunch out of the package, fit and finish are top notch. Brakes are very nice looking. Price is great compared to other options. What's not to love?
