The Constructeur Front Rack is a medium sized front rack that attaches to your fork's dropout eyelets. It's simple design is perfect for a handlebar bag, tied-down dry bag, or basket.

All Velo Orange racks are made from polished tubular stainless steel, so they will never rust or flake, and can be re-polished to a mirror shine even after years of use. As with our other racks, there are light mounts on the side of the platform. The height of the rack from the lowest hole on the tang to the bottom of the platform is 37cm. The platform is 20cm long and 10cm wide. The tombstone (backstop) is 9.5cm tall. The rack weighs 498 gr.

There are three holes in the lower tang so that it can be cut to give your bike a real Constructeur-style. Find installation instructions here.

15lbs (6.8kg) maximum weight capacity.

Please note: This rack does not fit suspension forks.

Works great with my 51-year old bike

After examining the specs of what are now called "randonneur" frames, I've realized that that's exactly what my 1973 Fuji Finest is! So, naturally, I needed a front rack so I could have a randonneur bag. This rack works and looks great.

Solid little rack

TBH I bought the rack for silly reasons, but now I’m really glad I did. It’s very handy for quick things like picking up some takeout on my way home, or strapping down a six pack. It’s also worked out as a support for my front fender, and a great place to mount my camera and headlight. I’m also a big fan of how sharp this looks on my bike.

Wide rack

Do you make this rack to fit a disc-braked fork? That is, wider?
