These style bars were standard issue on Porteur bicycles - and for good reason! They're maneuverable, lightweight, and exceptionally comfortable for riding through the city and country with heavy loads.

  • Width: 48cm
  • Reach: 14cm
  • Grip area: 13cm
  • Rise/drop: 15mm
  • Stem clamp area: 25.4mm
  • Weight: 270g

These bars are available in two tubing diameters, 23.8mm for road components and 22.2mm for mtb/city components:

  • 22.2mm (MTB-size) bars accept MTB brake levers and clamp-on shifters. They do not work with bar-end shifters. The only inverse levers that work are Dia Compe levers in the 22.2mm size.
  • 23.8mm (road-size) bars accept standard inverse brake levers, standard bar end shifters, and 23.8mm city brake levers. In short, anything made for road bars fits. They do not accept MTB levers or shifters.

The beauty of the design is very beautiful

Regarding the curve line of the bar, the beauty of the bending process is very beautiful, It is also possible to install it upside down. I liked it so much that I bought the same one in Japan.I think it's a great handlebar.

Great for short daily trips.

I've had these bars on my commuter for over a year now. I've really enjoyed them the whole time. They are super sturdy, handle great, and look just really remarkable. The only complaint I have of them is as I go on longer trips- sometimes I begin to lose a little bit of feeling in my hands. If anybody has recommendations on another bar or a way to change this set up I'd love to hear it

Changed my bike!

Put the porteur bars on my 1983 Peugeot ph13 and added some fenders and racks. It totally changed the bike. Taken it on some long rides and the bars improved the comfort alot

Love the Porteur bars with inverse brake levers.

Just finished my latest build using the VO Porteur bars and Dia Comp inverse brake levers. I'm a diehard drop bar guy, but I really like these bars as they give more than one hand position like drop bars do. The inverse brakes make for a clean, minimalist cockpit, not to mention one or two finger braking power.
