These fenders feature a stunning snakeskin pattern and are highly polished. They're 50mm wide, designed for 700c and 27" wheels, and work with tires up to 42mm wide. We include a hardware kit to work with almost any type of mounting in the same finish as the fenders.

  • Fenders are made from aluminum alloy for strength while staying lightweight
  • Rear fender is 120cm long and the front is 90cm long
  • Both come pre-drilled for stays. Front is pre-drilled for a fork crown mount
  • Hardware kit includes: 5mm polished aluminum stays, R-clips and screws, L bracket, reinforcement plates, stay-to-fender closed eyelet bolts, fork crown daruma, sliding bracket, leather washers, and detailed installation instructions

Velo Orange fenders are designed to be full coverage, which means that you and your bike's drivetrain will stay clean of road muck and grime. Both front and rear fenders have full wrap around the width of your tires to eliminate spray in all directions.

Please note: We include most if not all of the hardware you need for the installation of our fenders on the vast majority of bikes, but in that the kit is as universal as possible, you may need one or two bits of hardware for your particular build. Watch this video and read the instructions to make sure your frame and fork has the correct mounts and hardware needed. If you need additional hardware, check out this page.

perfect look

I selected these to fit over some larger Gravelking tires on my Homer Hilsen. Description says they will fit with 42C tires...so I tried to push it and learned they WILL NOT fit over 43C tires. It took some adjusting to install on my bike because of the longer chainstays and bridge placement on my bike. Got some great advice from VO to assist. I ended up going with some slightly smaller tires they fit perfectly (700X40). I'm really pleased with the finished result.

Dope looking

Fenders are great but you might need some hardware. If you don’t have a built in mount (threaded hole) on the bottom of your front fork, and just have a hole that runs front to back through the fork (such as on a surly straggler). You will need to head to the hardware store. This can be a little hard to find if you’re trying to keep things metric so that your bike multitool will work with it if things go awry in the wild. There is a mount supplied that works great but to attach that to the frame and keep it metric you will need a 5mm Allen hex bolt that’s around 45mm long, a corresponding nut and a couple washers. It’ll only run you a few bucks, but get it in advance if your chomping at the bit to get them on.

Surprisingly Strong

Good fenders/mudguards that have held up well so far. Minimal overspray on my feet in the worst of conditions without an additional flap at the bottom. Plenty of room between the tire and fender with Specialized Sawtooth 700x38 tires for ice and general crud. But most impressive so far is that the fenders have survived my bimodal bike/bus commute. Often times I have to put my bike in the open cargo hold underneath a coach style bus where is it free to fly around and get tangled up in whatever else is in there. Luggage, other bikes (particularly handlebars and pedals), snowboards, scooters. It’s a veritable bike tumbler and these fenders are still attached and haven’t needed adjustment.

Kudos VO!

Distinctive, Classy & Durable

I appreciate the 700x50 Snakeskins--I've had quite a few comments before such as from non-cyclists, and none negative. The aesthetics of these fenders seem to blend naturally with my burnt-orange Rivendell Sam Hillborne frame.

Additionally--well, I GUESS the most important feature--they installation was straight forward, work very well & have been very durable! I've covered a lot of miles the past half dozen years of commuting and light touring. The coverage for typical 700x38 tires has been excellent in all conditions and truly make my ride "All Seasons" capable (winter too? Absolutely!). For the most part, they stay aligned. An occasional bing or bang to the setup can justify a very slight re-alignment (common to all bike fender brands) but with just a modest tug on one strut or another, etc. things are right again. But they are very durable for years of service nonetheless, way better in all respects than the plastics I used to have installed. That seems counter-intuitive but it's true.

All the hardware necessary is included and should I need to replace a part, strut or the fender itself, everything is a relatively easy replacement with the rest of the old kit left in-place. So, why did I replace my original set? During the course of a move back from S. Korea, the guerrillas were...err, the shippers were assertive while they were disassembling my bike out of my sight (and against my instructions--I'm sure you got the pic...). Nothing is impervious to 800 lb. guerillas.

Hey--another quality product in a long line; thank you, Velo Orange!

Solid and reliable

Having used plastic fenders in the past, these were much more sturdy and look like they will last forever. As with almost every fender out there, these too were a bit fussy to mount but it only took one trip to the hardware store to get what was needed for a neat setup. The polished hammered aluminum surface is a bit too shiny for me and these may get painted sometime in the future. In retrospect I should’ve ordered the noir finish. Still, they work and I can recommend them for a classy permanent fender installation.
