Nice brakes. Were easy to install and braking action is what I was looking for.

And look classy doing it. With salmon Kool Stop pads, me and my bike (neither lightweights) survived going down several hundred feet of 20+% grade on rutted loose dirt and gravel at 7 mph. They squealed the whole way, but they held.

The brake arms themselves are fine, they look good and are easy to install and adjust, but the brake shoes that came with mine may be assumed to last a lifetime even if you otherwise find a way to stop in traffic. They had no effect at all against my VO touring rims, even after I filed them. I didn't bother to try them in the wet. A set of black kool-stops fixed everything.

The brakes arrived a day sooner than expected and they are really nice. Sadly for me though, they didn’t fit my 1990 Miyata 1000. Turns out the front bosses are narrower spacing than these brakes allow for. I should have done more research. It looks like the 710’s might work better on vintage bikes. That’s my problem though, not VO’s. Oh well.
