Purchased these during a sale but even at full price they are a good value. I was told they weren't taped but indeed they are. Using them on my Bike Friday and they are a huge upgrade.

The wheelset is extremely stable. But I thought the quality of the Velocity Cliffhanger rims would be better. The rim joint is not neatly processed like my previous rims from Mavic or Stan's. Furthermore the polished rims came scratched and with small dents. The first dent always hurts most, I know. It's just a shame if the dents are included in the delivery.

The craftsmanship of the wheelset is very good. The free wheel is quite loud. I like that. Sometimes it spares the bell.

Shipping to Germany went smoothly. The wheelset came in a sturdy box.

That would have been avoidable: In addition to the wheelset, I had ordered a SRAM XD replacement freehub body and the heavy Copenhagen Dual Leg Kickstand. Both parts were loose in the box. If you consider how rough parcels are sometimes transported, the loose bike parts can also have damaged the rims. The free hub and the kickstand should be wrapped in bubble wrap or packed in an extra box.

Am I too sensitive? Perhaps. Would I still recommend the good looking wheelset? Yes.
